Is paisley in or out in 2025?

I find Paisley quite an enigma, as I can never seen to work out whether its "in fashion" at any time or not.

Described as an "ornamental textile design" its of Persian origins woth its tear-drop shaped motif curved at one end. It first became popular in the late 1700s having been imported from India on Kashmir shawls. The look was christened 'paisley' in the UK after the jacquard looms in the Scottish town of the same name started mass producing garments using the design.

I've personally been buying paisley at various points throughout my most of my adult life. My shirt collection sports over a dozen different colourways.

I looked at the Spring / Summer 2025 collections from 6 of my favourite brands and right enough every one of them has at least one paisley in the mix! Lets say its still "in" for now!
